For the Fregils, home is a place where simplicity, community and convenience blend in harmony.
There was a soft glow as we entered the Fregil residence at Avida Towers Cloverleaf. The atmosphere in the one-bedroom unit was simple, clear, and warm. Addie and Anne Fregil have been living in Avida Towers Cloverleaf for five years and are one of its pioneer residents. Just any well-laid plans for building a life together, their search for property began early. One of their immediate considerations was proximity to family.
“When we got engaged in 2018, we decided to look for a condo unit. Then I asked a friend who was an agent if he knew of any place na near Banawe because Addie’s parents live in Banawe. We wanted a place near his parents’ house. Pinakita niya yung Cloverleaf, and we decided to get it,” she said.
Their first unit was a studio. And when the opportunity to move into a one-bedroom apartment presented itself, Addie and Anne wasted no time. Half a decade later, they have truly called Cloverleaf home.

And in those times when public transportation does need to be used, the Light Rail Transit (LRT) is just across the building. Ayala Malls Cloverleaf is a stone’s throw away if they want a trip to the mall, whether for leisure or household essentials.
For Addie, Cloverleaf provides that ideal mix of proximity, practicality, and people.

It’s clear from the outset then that the Fregils place is a premium on a practical, relaxed lifestyle. And they’ve even made a change to their own unit to reflect these values more consistently in their own home.

The net effect is significantly more space in the kitchen and dining area. This gives Anne more room for preparing things in the kitchen, and the added dining space is also room for more people. Anne shared that during their housewarming, they had as many as 10 guests. On most days, Addie says that their unit can easily accommodate four people.
“So basically, yung door sa loob, originally that would be the cabinets for the clothes. So we just moved it facing the bedroom door. The effect niya, lumuwag yung whole kitchen. We could also add a larger table. Basically, ang laki ng space,” Addie shared.
The couple’s aesthetic is minimalist, and this too, is by design. “We make a conscious effort to limit the visual clutter so gusto namin everything is very functional. We’re both working so, there’s not much time for us to actually clean the house, so, we want everything organized,” Anne said. Or as Addie simply puts it, “Walang kalat.”
This approach to design also means that things are always within easy reach. No movement, time, or energy is wasted. And the complete effect is one that clears both physical and mental space when coming home.
“It’s important na yung uuwian mo is something na at ease ka, to find someplace na after a long, busy day you’ll be at peace, comfortable ka, and it’s safe na, when you leave for work, alam mo na safe yung iiwanan mo,” Anne says.
For Addie and Anne, Cloverleaf is more than a place to rest. It is a place where their dreams are born, and where the path to the future is always filled with hope and light.
